May 8th-10th - Its the first divisonal out of 5. All friday was practice for all of the karts. We just mainly focussed on getting the kart to handle right. That took 4 out of our 5 practices. With the last practice we used to get some speed. We where satisfied with what we got accomplished. On Saturday we had 2 practices then qualifying. WE worked on getting more speed out of the kart and where successful. For qualifying I placed 14 out of 22. For the race I kinda froze on the start because there was a lot of banging and people suddenly moving. I sank to the back and I was catchen up after things smoothed out up front. there was a caution because an accident happened in turn 4. But after that got cleaned up and the race got restarted I WAS FLYING I was passing karts left and right and I was about to catch another group of karts. Then when I was going into turn 1 and 2 with 2 laps to go I suddenly spun, did a 360 and landed in a sand pile off the track. When I got out of the kart I realized that I lost my Right Rear tire and it got pilled all the way to the chassis and was stuck on the gas tank and the axle. So I was extremely disappointed with what happened but its racing and things like that happen.
May 3rd - Its the second race of the season, and I had another kart to compete against. All of the practice went good. When the heat came up I was a little to tight and fell a little behind. For the feature we where racin side by side and right on each otherz bumpers. Then about 5 laps in the kart got wicked loose to the fact that evey lap I was on the verge of loosing control. Even tho that I was a strait away behind I had a blast.
April 27th - It was my first race at a whole new track and in a all new class. I had such blast, I love banked tracks. The only problem we faced when we got there was that the other karts that race in the same class where in Pennsylvania for a National race, so I was the only one in my class. I enjoyed having the time out there on the track for myself because I have never ran there before and I had to learn the line around the track, but I hate calling that a win because there was no competition. I enjoy the way that the track is run because the people are into the fun of racing then just being up tight and checking everything about the karts. They dont check the fuel trusting that no one will cheat by adding stuff to the fuel, then they dont really check the weight because they trust you with that to.. and the people up there are so nice.. I just love it and I cant wait till next weekend when the other karts will be there.
